Somehow we’re already staring down the last weekend of August, so while you’re figuring out how to send summer off, it’s also time to get September on the calendar.

Starting with this: Exile in Guyville is a classic. Dig Me Out is a classic. Seeing Liz Phair and Sleater-Kinney on the same bill? Definitely classic. They're headed to The Greek on Tuesday, 9/8, and we’re giving away tickets! (Classic.)

Also, all the raver girls, gays, and theys have been “raving” about CATEGORY party’s debut last weekend. They just announced a Rouge theme for Vol. 002 on Friday, 9/18 with Kim Anh, Masha Mar, and Soul Purpose b2b Flabbergast spinning disco, house & techno tunes all night long, plus an editorial photoshoot, jewelry, art, tacos, and more surprises. Early bird tickets just went on sale today, or you can enter to win a pair!

JUST ANNOUNCED

  • Linda Perry wrote hits for P!nk and Christina Aguilera, gave us the eternal karaoke scream “What’s Up?,” and never stopped being cool. Now she’s getting intimate at The GRAMMY Museum on Thursday, 9/10. Win tickets!

  • Remi Wolf got dumped, turned 30, got sober, and made Mud, her rawest, most stripped-back record yet. Now she’s celebrating its release with one very special, intimate night at The Fonda on Saturday, 10/10. Get in there.

  • ERISTHEPLANET traded beauty tutorials for bass-heavy rap, then dropped “Geezr” and got SZA and Drake paying attention! Catch her before everyone else does when It Be That Damn Tour hits El Cid on Thursday, 10/22.

  • The Psycho Circus returns to San Bernardino’s NOS Events Center on Friday and Saturday, 10/30-31! Insomniac’s Escape Halloween will feature over 85+ artists like Alesso, Zedd, and Excision across six stages. Win your way in!

  • Jessie Reyez makes heartbreak sound like a threat, and now she’s taking that voice to The Kia Forum when the A Little Vengeance Tour lands on Monday, 11/9. Come scream about your ex with thousands of strangers.

Hayden Panettiere, Dolly Parton, and Tim Curry gave us three very different reasons to laugh, cry, sing along, and feel a little more ourselves. Three gay icons gone far too close together. The world feels a little less fabulous without them.
